Formula E sets the scene for a debate beyond e-mobility

The Formula E, a race for battery electric cars, is coming to Switzerland. The Zurich E-Prix will take place for the first time on 10 June 2018. As part of the eDays, the official program surrounding the race, ETH Zurich will host a symposium on 8 June. The symposium will bring together experts from science, industry and politics to discuss paths towards more energy-efficient and climate-friendly mobility. Within this scope, electromobility is certainly one essential approach for achieving a more sustainable transport system. ETH professors Konstantinos Boulouchos, Christopher Onder and Gerhard Schmitt as well as representatives from other institutions will elaborate on further critical technological and socioeconomic factors. In addition to talks and panel discussions, the symposium will feature an exhibition of newest solutions developed by ETH spin-offs as well as external start-ups and organizations in the field of mobility and sustainability. ETH student projects like Duckietown, AMZ Racing and Swissloop will also have a chance to display their work at the E-Village near the racetrack.

SCCER Mobility and the Energy Science Center are supporting the symposium organization.
