Although energy efficiency has increased in recent decades, there is still a lot to be done to reach emission targets put forth Swiss Energy Strategy. Households are an important factor, as they require a significant fraction of the end energy demand in Switzerland. The SCCER CREST white paper entitled Reducing the energy demand of households – promising steps in a long journey (translated from German) deals with this challenge. Yet instead of focusing on specific measures for households, it outlines general recommendations for devising energy savings programs.
